Revealed: Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG

Less than a month after revealing a raft of changes to standard versions of its range-topping coupe, Mercedes-Benz has lifted the veil on a more powerful and significantly more economical CL63 AMG. Set for U.S. sale from November, the up-market performance coupe receives a series of mid-life styling tweaks, including larger headlamps, a restyled grille, more heavily contoured hood and re-profiled bumpers--all aimed at providing the CL63 AMG with added appeal against stiff competition from the likes of the Bentley Continental GT and the newly refreshed Aston Martin DB9.

New Qoros at Geneva 2014 – looks like a Crossover/SUV Chinese car maker Qoros – hoping to make inroads in to the European market with its Qoros 3 saloon – is heading for the Geneva Motor Show in March with a new model, teased today in a pair of photos. Qoros’s first production model – the Qoros 3 – arrived in production guise at Geneva this year as a convincing – if generic -looking – four-door saloon, which we did think an odd route to go to break in to Europe. But the next Qoros – previewed here in a couple of teaser photos – looks to be a production version of the Qoros Cross Hybrid Concept Qoros showed at Geneva and a much better route to grabbing a slice of Europe’s car sales.

Hyundai’s top UK dealers have been honoured with awards at an event in Frankfurt. Bristol Street Motors, Monaghan Brothers, Sandon Road Hyundai and J T Hughes won awards. There are lots of threads to making a brand succeed, and Hyundai’s stellar rise from budget ‘dofor’ to mainstream beating has meant weaving those threads together like a seamstress on a fine tapestry.
